As a specialist in animal behaviour with a passion for wildlife and the outdoors, Shona has all the expertise to help dog walkers stay wildlife friendly.
After completing her masters degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour at the University of Lincoln, Shona spent some time at various conservation organisations and has also worked as a private behaviour consultant.
In her role as team lead, she combines her love of behaviour and training with conservation and has put together a raft of resources to help dog owners stay wildlife aware on walks. You can find them on our Training Tips page.
Alice raises awareness of wildlife aware dog walking through our website and social media, as well as in-person activities such as guided waggy walks and events.
Alice has two dogs of her own, has volunteered at a number of local rescue centres and is a student member of the Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT). She loves sharing welfare-friendly advice to help the dog walking community to have safer, more enjoyable and wildlife aware walks.

Serena’s background is in land management and conservation. She studied Land and Wildlife Management at Sparsholt College before joining Hampshire’s Countryside Service as an Assistant Ranger with the Central Sites team.
Her role with Coast and Country Canines is all about raising awareness of wildlife aware dog walking through pop-ups, guided waggy walks and other events.
Serena is a true dog lover and can’t wait to have her own. In the meantime, she’s really enjoying meeting lots of different dogs while she’s out and about on the Solent coast, so if you see her, be sure to stop and say hi!
With a professional background spanning zoo animal training, wildlife conservation, and education, Penny has worked with learners of all ages — from early years to adult professionals.
Her career has included working with animal management professionals, where she championed best practices in animal care and behaviour, promoting behaviours that benefit both animals and people.
A lifelong advocate for rescue dogs and an enthusiastic birder, Penny is excited to connect with organisations in the dog industry. She looks forward to building strong partnerships that support the wellbeing of dogs and their communities across coast and country.
