If you’re anything like us, your camera is chock full of photos of your dog out and about in nature. Who doesn’t love getting an adorable snap of their pup living their best life out on a walk?
Well, now is the time to let your photography talents (and your dog’s good looks) shine! Dogs have their very own category in the Bird Aware Solent Photography Competition, with a top prize of £100 in vouchers up for grabs.
There are four categories in total, and the Wildlife Aware Coastal Dogs category is all about showcasing dogs who give birds plenty of space. Whether they’re walking alongside their human companions, on paths away from wildlife, or safely on leads, the photo should show your dog enjoying the beach while being mindful of their surroundings so birds can feed and rest without being disturbed.
Here at Coast and Country Canines, we are all about walking dogs in a wildlife friendly way while also having loads of fun being out with your best friend. We would love to see entries that show dogs engaging with their guardians, playing games and enjoying themselves while also helping nature thrive.
The winners and runners-up in each category will be decided by the Bird Aware Solent ranger team.
The overall winner will receive £100 of vouchers of their choice together with a guided birdwatching walk with family and friends from one of our ranger team.
The winner from each individual category, including the the Wildlife Aware Coastal Dogs category, will receive £75 in vouchers of their choice with a special award of £50 in vouchers made to the best submission taken on a mobile phone.
